According to band spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg, the legendary band Fleetwood Mac has canceled the band's planned tour stops in Australia and New Zealand.
The reason: Longtime bassist John McVie has been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer and is undergoing treatment.
Band issues apology
The remainder of the band – Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham – released a statement Sunday apologizing for having to cancel a full 14 concert performances, but they hope that "fans everywhere will join us in wishing John and his family all the best."
The band had just wrapped up a European tour, and their tour in Australia and New Zealand was meant to run through the first week of December.
Fleetwood Mac currently also has a scheduled date to play Las Vegas on Dec. 30.
