I am your average normal person who has gone through cancer twice. The first time I was in 1981 and I had thyroid cancer. The second time was in 2007 with breast cancer. I consider myself lucky enough to have had cancer twice as it is the gift that keeps on giving. With my first adventure with cancer, I felt I handled it badly and it took me years to learn to cope. With my second adventure, I looked back on how badly I dealt with it the first time and made it my goal to cope better. One result was my blog which chronicles my daily life. Sometimes I whine about some medical malady but other times, I speak my mind (as I often do) on politics or articles on other topics.
