NCCN MD Anderson.jpg

MD Anderson Cancer Center, perennially listed as the top cancer center in the United States by the likes of Newsweek, has joined forces with Banner Health, one of the biggest non-profit health care systems in the US, to create the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center.

This new, 130,000-square ft outpatient center is housed on the Banner Gateway Medical Center campus in Gilbert, Arizona and brings together and it will be supported by 76 inpatient beds at the Banner Gateway Medical Center.

This unique collaboration is expected to bring state-of-the-art cancer treatment to Arizona, featuring every aspect of patient care, from medical and radiation oncology to surgery, pathology, infusion therapy, laboratory, diagnostic imaging and a host of other supportive clinical services—all of which will be overseen by MD Anderson.

The new facility is modeled directly on what goes on at the Houston MD Anderson outpatient clinics, including infusion therapy stations situated on outdoor balconies to make experience more tolerable. Furthermore, patients will be treated by an oncology team that tailors treatment to the individual and his or her needs
