The US FDA has awarded fast track designation to Celsion Corporation's investigational drug ThermoDox, in combination with radiofrequency ablation, as a treatment for primary liver cancer.
Celsion is thus currently recruiting patients diagnosed with non-resectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC, primary liver cancer) for a Phase III trial to evaluate Thermodox under a Special Protocol Assessment agreement with the FDA.
