The first Sunday in June is traditionally recognized as National Cancer Survivors Day, a celebration observed in communities and countries the world over and sponsired by the non-profit National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation. This year marks the 25th anniversary of this event.
The Foundation provides the many hundreds of cancer-related organizations hosting National Cancer Survivors Day events with support through free guidance and education. As their home page says,
"Participants [in National Cancer Survivors Day] unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful and productive."
To find an event near you, reach out to your local cancer treatment center, the American Cancer Society (Cancer.org) , or by hooking up with the Foundation …
