Drew Cox, the six year old boy from Tyler, Texas who opened a lemonade stand to help raise funds for the cancer care required by his father, did some incredibly swift and impressive business, raising an astonishing $10,000.
The story, which was first reported in mid-April by KYTX, gave the stand some local fame and soon the cars were lining up around the block to help out.
Drew, who is in kindergarten, expressed his desire to help his family pay for his father's expensive cancer care and opened the lemonade stand, but no one in the family expected that the little stand would take in the amount that it did in just a few days: about $10,000, according to KYTX.
While many people came by for lemonade, half of the money came from a single contributor in the form of a check.
