The condition of Major League Baseball Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter, who was diagnosed with several brain tumors in May of 2011 that were inoperable, has become 'grave' according to reports.

A recent MRI is showing several new tumors, further worsening his prognosis, and his condition is "visibly worsening," according to Bill Madden of the New York Daily News

Carter, now 57 years old, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003 after playing for 19 pro seasons with the Expos, Mets, Giants and Dodgers.
