A drug prescribed to treat high cholestoral levels could be effective against prostate cancer, according to a recently published study.

The drug, rosuvastatin (sold under the brand name Crestor), appears to suppress prostate cancer cells.

However, this news should be taken with a grain of salt, since the results were reached in a pre-clinical setting, meaning in laboratory mice.
